Ginger Walker is a native of Dallas, Texas but proudly calls Fort Worth home. After graduating from Highland Park High School in Dallas, she went on to Baylor where she studied Art. Unnaturally, she went on to have a career in Pharmaceutical sales because....bills. Over the last few years, she has finally come back to the love of her life... Art (excluding her husband, Rob, of course)
The Walkers reside in Fort Worth, Texas with their two kids, Tatum and Wade (and Maple the lab and Skippy John Jones the Chihuahua -Don’t Ask).
Ginger grew up running around a printing plant in Dallas called Williamson Printing where her Dad worked for over 30 years. It only seems natural to incorporate the printing process to bring her art to textiles. She works with different mediums but her ink series are a tribute to her childhood running through the huge reams of paper and clacking printing presses.
Ginger absolutely loves color and loves painting abstracts inspired by nature, travel, music and emotion. You can also find her work at Park+Eighth, Pax and Parker, local design studios, and at her new studio/ gallery Galleywinter Galleries in Fort Worth and MEHOME in Oklahoma City.
